Van Elle’s transport team is in the process of replacing and upgrading its fleet of HGV vehicles, which will be completed by Spring 2023.
More than 7,400 movements are undertaken annually, to deliver, collect and transport heavy piling equipment and precast piles and beams across the country. The fleet covered more than 900,000 miles during 2021.
The new fleet of HGV’s will deliver improved reliability and fuel consumption – which can be as low as 3mpg when transporting heavy equipment – and is key to our sustainability targets.
Due to the growing demand on our transport fleet, we also recently welcomed the arrival of our first fully compliant escort vehicle. This investment will support increased demand for complex movements and requests from councils and police forces for us to self-escort our piling rigs.
