Van Elle achieves Bronze in Network Rail’s ‘Route to Gold’ plant reliability scheme

Awards Network Rail Rail

Van Elle’s rail division was recently recognised with a  Bronze award in Network Rail’s ‘Route to Gold’ scheme.

Route to Gold is a performance measurement initiative within the Network Rail supply chain. It tracks and reports on the performance of rail plant.

The scheme recognises the achievements of suppliers across the network in ensuring that safe and reliable plant is always available to meet the needs of the industry.

The initiative aims to promote collaborative working behaviours, reduce costs caused by re-work and embed a culture of continuous improvement within the rail industry.

Andy Pickering, Operations Manager and Kezia Agulanna, Placement Student were presented with the award by Mike Robinson of Network Rail in recognition of our on-track plant reliability.

David Buckley, Director of Rail & Strata Geotechnics, said: “Receiving the bronze award is a great step forward in our rail plant improvement programme and acknowledges the hard work and commitment of the whole team.

“We are continuously investing and improving our fleet, which comprises 20 specialist on-track rigs and cranes tailored to our geotechnical requirements.  We have further major rig investments planned in 2022 so look forward to further improvement of our fleet performance.
