At Van Elle, we are dedicated to fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
Our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace is demonstrated by the launch of our new campaign, which reflects our mission to create an environment of mutual respect.
To coincide with National Inclusion Week, our “Seven Steps for Respect” campaign is a crucial part of embedding a respectful and inclusive culture.
This campaign, developed by our EDI network, is guided by a core principle that “Everyone who works with us or for us deserves respect at work.”
It helps establish a shared understanding of acceptable behaviour by clearly defining expected actions and empowering our colleagues and those who work with us.
Our campaign is centred around the RESPECT principles:
Removing Barriers means eliminating obstacles to inclusivity and ensuring equal access for all.
Empathy involves understanding and valuing others’ experiences with kindness.
Support focuses on encouraging and assisting colleagues to succeed and feel valued.
Promoting Diversity means embracing a range of perspectives to enrich our workplace.
Example is about demonstrating respectful behaviour to set a standard for inclusivity.
We Challenge inappropriate behaviour and bias to empower everyone to speak out.
Lastly, Trust is built through transparency and reliability, creating a foundation of mutual respect.
As we celebrate National Inclusion Week 2024 and beyond, Van Elle is proud to be a community of dedicated and respectful individuals.
We encourage everyone to embrace our “Seven Steps for Respect” to ensure a collaborative, inclusive, open-minded, and safe work environment for all.
