We recently hosted a successful World Quality Week event, attended by members of Galliford Try’s Infrastructure team. The focus of the event was to discuss the importance of quality in construction and explore our approach to maintaining the highest standards.
This event highlighted the significance of quality across every stage of our operations, offering attendees a comprehensive view of our ongoing commitment to excellence.
During the day, participants heard from various Van Elle team members who shared insights into our capabilities. This included precast pile and beam manufacturing, modular construction techniques, and rig technology.
The sessions provided valuable insights into our commitment to quality, with updates on digitalisation, data reporting, and continuous process improvements.
Key discussions included the benefits of early contractor involvement in developing concrete specifications and cage designs, so that ease of construction and quality of installation are largely ensured from the start of the scheme.
Additionally, our Training Centre Manager shared how our training team is developing the skill level of our workforce, while also offering training to external candidates. This underlines our commitment to helping address the skills shortage within the construction industry.
Attendees were given a tour of our facilities, including the precast production factory, where innovative QR code traceability demonstrates our commitment to transparency and quality assurance.
The event also featured live demonstrations of Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) piling and the Screwfast/Smartfoot techniques, reinforcing our dedication to quality and innovation at every level.
