We recently set a new record for the deepest Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) piles ever undertaken by the company.
We reached an impressive depth of 35 meters while installing 900mm CFA piles at the Britannia Phase 2B project in Hackney, London.
The piling works were awarded to us by Ardmore Construction and involved the installation of 190 No CFA piles, to support a significant new residential-led regeneration scheme next to Shoreditch Park.
The undertaking involved a daily installation of up to 200m3 of concrete, utilising our Llamada 160-TA.
Notably, the project required careful navigation of the intricacies associated with piling in close proximity to the future Crossrail tunnel and Thames Water service.
Malcolm O’Sullivan, Piling Director, said: “We’re proud to have set a new standard in deep foundation construction with our achievement on the Britannia Phase 2B project.
“This accomplishment reflects our commitment to delivering excellence, showcasing our expertise and innovation in the field.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the Britannia masterplan and support Ardmore Construction in delivering much-needed Council homes in Hackney. We look forward to continuing our contributions to major residential and regeneration schemes in London and beyond.”
