We are pleased to announce that we have been appointed to the Piling framework for the West of Leeds section of the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) programme.
TRU is a multi-billion-pound investment programme that will deliver reliability, capacity and journey time improvements between Manchester and York via Huddersfield and Leeds.
It is the biggest railway transformation the north has seen since the Victorian era and a key commitment to the government’s £96bn Integrated Rail Plan (IRP).
The West of Leeds Alliance (TRU West) is responsible for the transformation of the railway between Manchester and Leeds and is being delivered by an alliance of Network Rail, Arup, Amey and Bam Nuttall.
The programme involves work at 15 stations, 79 bridges, and 56km of electrification and re-signalling.
Mark Cutler, Chief Executive, said: “We are very excited to be supporting the TRU West upgrade, which represents a complex array of projects that suit our breadth of expertise in the rail sector, while working in a collaborative alliance environment which allows us to provide early engineering advice and cost-effective solutions for this transformative infrastructure programme.”
The latest framework award sees us further strengthen our market having recently won a position on the Smart Motorway Programme Alliance Framework.
