On Tuesday 22nd March, members of our team volunteered to take part in The BIG Ashfield Spring Clean.
The yearly spring clean, hosted by Ashfield District Council for the fifth year, is a commitment to make Ashfield a cleaner place to live, work and visit.
Nine members of our team, from divisions and departments across the business, rolled up their sleeves and picked up litter in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
The team collected and disposed of 20 bags of rubbish.
Rob Walsh, Group Services Director at Van Elle, said “This was a wonderful opportunity to continue our Corporate Social Responsibility work, helping to keep the local area a clean and tidy place.
“We want to take pride in the area we live and work in, and hope by taking part we can encourage others to do the same.”
Last month we teamed up with Ashfield District Council in their campaign to plant 1,000 trees.
